Long beach hot rod swap meet tomorrow morning 2/12.theres been some broncos and other nice 4xs there lately. Good place to find deals on parts. Not too many bronco specific parts but motors, trannys, tires, wiring kits. Lots of stuff. We usually get there by 7:30. It starts clearing out about 11. Just giving a shout out to the so cal guys that don't know about it. We take my 72 suburban so we can lock stuff up. I don't run tops on my broncos.

I'll be there with my 75. I love that it's only a mile away.

Hey Steve. You wouldn't happen to be the dude across the street from a school with the 2 broncos in your drive way. One in front of the other? I've seen them and think they are rad. And if I remember correctly, that house has an early suburban. We were neighbors by about 5-6 blocks about 12 or so years ago if that's you!

Yep. That's my place. I've never figured out how to get pics on here. I did snap a couple of the orange bronco. After the swap meet I went down to el porto and met a guy with a nice 68 he just bought from asc

Right on Steve! That's right where I grew up, and man has that area gone from nice to super nice. First that jogging path by the bridge where I used to pretend to exercise, then they refurbished the 2 schools and made them modern and state of the art.

A 68 from ASC huh. Man, I can't keep up with all the new rides in town.

I grew up over here. Where that walking path is was once houses. They bought em out to widen the 405 but never did it. It was dirt for years. We used to romp out trucks out there all the time. Also uo the block to the west was edelbrock. Behind there were huge fields for motorcycles and 4 wheeling. Now it's Raytheon.

Down 135th, where it gets a little industrial/commercial? I didn't know Edelbrock used to be back there. That's cool, I love old pictures from around town. If you happen to have any from that time they had their business there I'd love to see it.

They have a spot in Torrance now. I think some guys have said they have sidewalk sales from time to time, but I've never had a chance to check it out. I've passed by the building though and it is gigantic.

Oh and I'm guessing you know. But Hot Rod magazine is down the street too. It's neat having all that so close. You've probably driven by a million times by Hot Rod magazine (behind the Noah's bagels/Starbucks lot). If you peek in you see some rad stuff in there more often than not, especially if the garage is open.

He'll be livin even larger if he does so. Steve is in a very desireable area, that is getting more desireable. He'd cash out with a good bit of coin. Can't blame a dude for makin the move if it makes sense.

He's in the Bronco of neighborhoods. Lol. People overlooked it for a bit, and now figured out its rad.

Don't know if it's the dream. Since my back went south there's not much I can do anymore so I hit the beach and hang with a bunch of other broken retired guys. It beats sitting home watching tv.

I don't own my place and I may be losing it in a year or so. Looking at going out of state because the rents have gone so crazy. Looking at options. I can buy a nice place back there for less than a single apartment in a crap neighborhood rents for out here. Looking at kentucky because I've got a handful of friends who moved there and love it.

I hear you man, and it makes sense on both counts. Watching TV all day gets old and you can only do so much if rent goes through the roof. I can only imagine the huge swing in rental rates where you are at in such a short amount of time - not easy to plan for.

What's your dream place in Kentucky look like?
