can't wait to order mine...Please have him post how he likes it. I am wondering if it is just a little too much power for an EB.

Also what transmission is he running?

The only thing that bothered me about their ad when somebody inquired about it a few weeks ago was the lack of mention of the amount of over-bore...0.02, 0.03 or 0.04 or God forbid 0.06. I take it that that was resolved before ordering, right? I have seen some ads that looked great until you get into the small print...why would I spend 2500-4000 on a motor that is bored 0.04 or 0.06, especially a stroker (keep in mind I am referring to an add I saw last year from an engine builder).

It sounds like this will be bad a$$ though...395 lb/ft--serious pull. Looks beautiful as well. Let us know how those Pro Comp aluminum heads work out for him. Also, one more Q, did he get them to swap out the cam? If so, what did he go with?

same cam, everything's just as advertised.

he's gonna be running a C4 behind it. as soon as we get the engine in and running it's off to the tranny shop to get it strong enough for this engine.

What heads are those?

Unless I'm mistaken, the ProComp heads are made in Australia. I can't vouch for their heads, but I've got one of their distributors. Top quality stuff at a bargain basement price.

As I was typing this, a buddy of mine called. I asked him about the heads. He works for a shop that put some ProComp heads on a small block Chevy dirt circle car. He said that they are every bit the equal of Edelbrocks, at half the price.
