I am looking at getting a 66-77 bronco and was woundering what all I should look for in these things. I am looking to get one that I can fix up while drive but it will not be a daily driver. It seem like there is a big difference in what some guys think these things are worth. What should I look at paying for one of these that has some body rust/dents with a V8? Is there any better years to look at or stat away from?

#1, all bronco years are, Good!
My 66 is a daily driver and a toy at other times, been farting around with it for bout 25yrs, dont know what I would do with myself if it were done.
Take into account your skill level,$ and time.
If it runs and drives, send some pics an info to this site, these people know broncos

kinda depends on what part of the country your are in as far as price and condition goes. One other thing is if your not in a hurry to buy one you can wait for a good deal. All years are good but there are some differances 66-71 came with D30 front axle which is fine for light wheeling and 33in tires or less 71 1/2 up had D44 front axles starting in 73 the automatic transmission and power steering was availible. 76-77's are the most desireable as they also had front disc brakes. Check out what ever year you buy real good as a lot have been upgraded over the years you may get lucky. The closer the vehicle is to stock condition the better off you may be as the seller will not be trying to recoup the cost of his modifications

Look for a girl with lots of $$ that doesn't want you in the house very often. That way you can buy lots of good parts and have time to put em on. Don't let her drive it or you'll have to build her one and she'll get all the good parts.

ren92, That is a lot of work that you will be getting into. It looks like most of the sheet metal is going to need to be replaced. If it runs I would think that this is just a couple hundred dollar car at most. Best of luck I think I would wait on another deal unless he is giving it away and still then I may question bringing it home.

Like was just said this will be alot of work. But it also depends on what you want to do with it. I wouldn't want to restore it, but it could be a decent trail rig. How is the frame? Is it rusted? It's worth over $200 just in parts but not alot more. If it runs I would pay no more than $800.
