• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I am new to the bronco scene and I appreciate the love you guys have for them. I own a '70 roadrunner and for the last 20 years I have been the same way in that area. I am looking for one that is flexible enough to drop the top and drive to the Ozarks or roll to Colorado and go snowboarding. But when needed, engage 4x4 and power through a foot of snow. I don't plan on getting extreme like some of you guys not my thing. I like the versatility of these trucks and they look pretty cool too. I would like one that is mechanically sound with working gauges and lights and ready to roll. I understand that these are hard to find without a ton of rust but I don't want to put my feet through the floor. And a backseat would be nice too.

There are several on this board for sale. Now is the time to buy if you got the money. Really nice Broncos selling for less than the parts can be bought. Makes me wish I din't have so much money in my project. I could just buy one today and drive it tomorrow.

Like lonesomecur said, it's a great time to buy one if you've the cash. I can help if you're looking for a local one. There are quite a few in the midwest and of varied condition depending on your budget. Email me if you need a hand finding one.

Thanks for the replies guys, if you have the time take a look at this one on ebay. Item# 180326958889. Does anybody out there know this truck? How does it look to some of you veterans? Does it look like it is leaning forward to the driver's side? I tried contacting the seller but haven't heard anything. It is close to my max price.

I thought I saw somone talking about that one somewhere before, but not sure where. Maybe someone else knows. ?:?

That's one I'd want to look at in person (or find someone that can). Lot of fresh paint on there and I see rot on pic 15 (windshield) and pic 18 (lower kickpanel). Not major areas but I'd wonder what else is hiding.

Lean looks like it might be the "dreaded Bronco lean". Do a search on this one. It's basically a problem with how the radius arms and C bushings are clamped down. Could be weak springs too, but I'd say Bronco Lean. That's not a big deal though. Again, I'd be more concerned about the hidden rust.

Doesn't look bad though and the seller has made the auction open to offers...ya never know.

Bronco lean...good to know, I also read that rust on the inner fenders, and floor pans are also problem spots. Anything else these are notorious for? I have been looking around here and at bronco graveyard any other good resources?

You gotta reach way under the dash too. That's the last place you would consider, but it becomes real obvious when you check there. The rocker panels (just under the door when closed) are one of the first places to go.

This is why I am gun-shy about finding something from ebay....these two listings are the same truck....one in Washington and one in Alabama....200309294229, 220363581517....what is going on here?

How much are you looking to spend? I have 67 that is in pretty good shape.

Sounds like $8,000 is his max.

Pass on the orange one. For $8,000 you should be able to find a really really nice Bronco thats turn key with no rust and mechanically sound. You might have to dig a bit and barter a little but if you're patient, the deals are out there and now is the time to buy.

Don't give up on eBay, remember you can always spend a few hundred taking a trip out to see the truck...buying sight unseen is tough. If you find something that is far away, post it up here, you might find someone willing to go and check it out for you.
