A soldier who was very seriously injured in a traffic accident on post Thursday morning has died, according to a post spokeswoman. Dead is 36-year-old 2nd Lt. Mark J. Pincek, Tanja Linton said, adding he was assigned to Company C, 304th Military Intelligence Battalion while attending the Military Intelligence Basic Officer Leadership Course. Pincek, who died Sunday, was involved in an accident when his motorcycle collided with a commuter van on Hatfield Street, which resulted in the soldier being thrown from his motorcycle, she said, adding he was initially taken to Sierra Vista Regional Health Center and then air-evacuated to University Medical Center in Tucson. A memorial service for Pincek, who is from Miami, is being planned by the battalion, Linton said. The accident remains under investigation, she said.

Mark lived next door to me and he was a really great guy. Its too bad his life was cut short he will be greatly missed. God Speed Mark

I am sorry to hear of your friend's tragic accident. I am an avid motorcyclist. He was my age and when you hear of things like this, it makes you think a little. My thoughts to his family and friends. - Mike

Hate the loss of another Bronco fan, and someone with the passion to defend this great nation. Prayer's and thoughts go out to his family.
