LUBR suspension and body lift ???

I would like to put 32/11.5 BFG A/T tires on my uncut stock bronco. Think the combo looks good. What is the correct lift combo to obtain the correct clearance. From my research on this forum it seems that a 2.5" SL and 1" BL will get me there.

I do not have any intentions of doing off-roading, rather weekend cruising right now. Any input is appreciated.

I have a 2 1/2" sl and 1" body lift on mine. I'm running 9.5" wide 31" tires. I think 11.5 would be awful snug. But I have never tried going wider (yet)

Gotta agree with JAFO, it's going to be snug, you gotta have the right backspacing and keep the wheel width low. Out of curiosity...why mess with 32's? They are pricey and getting few and far between. It's a size that's being phased out. What little is out there is very limited in tread choices compared to 31's and 33's. I think most guys wanting a 32 have moved onto 17's for a 32x10.50 equivilent and still having choice in tires.

I think that size looks good on cut Broncos for sure. Ran them for years at both stock and lifted heights.

For them to work on an uncut, I would stick with 7" wide wheels with a 3.5" or 4" backspace.
You will rub the radius arms when turning tight.
You will have to trim the inner fender skirt where the extra bit of steel sticks out past the weld.
And you very well might rub the leading edge of the rear wheel wells. For that the only fix I know of is to move the rear axle rearward an inch or two.

Lots of members here have done that last mod in recent years. Should be plenty of discussions about how they did it just within the last couple of months I would think.

Good luck.

Hmm, speaking of 7" wheels with good backspacing, I'll have to go measure my clearance. I've got the wheels (15x7 w/4" bs) with narrower tires on a LUBR now.
Don't have any 11.50 32's to compare directly too, but I should be able to get a feel for whether it would work or not.

The 32 x 11.5 were the most commercially available. Can't really find any other widths in 32. I am also open to running 31 x 10.5 on either stock or a set of 15 x 8 wheels I found. BS was about 3.75. Unsure if they will fit without rubbing.

Anyone else have a 2.5 SL utilizing 8" wheels for a LUBR. Or is it bettter to stay with stock wheel size?

They will fit most of the time, but hit sometimes.
In other words... No, they don't fit.

The good news is that with that lift a 31x10.50 has just enough clearance to fit most of the time. But hit just the right bump at the right time, and you can rub the fender edges especially in the rear.
Usually it's the front if you're turning at the same time. Usually it's the rear if you're just a little extra loaded in the back and hit that bump.

It's slight, but it's rubbing. And rubbing is rubbing... And that's not a fit.
So either stick with 7's, stick with stock, or find 8's with at least 4" backspacing.

Or you can try it as an experiment. Because the hitting is so slight, and every Bronco is different, yours might work. But I know others that have that combo with 3.75" bs that does not work.
