I'm looking for the amount of overhang that the top extends over the windshield. I just put my top on yesterday and its not sitting right. Does anyone know how many inches the top should lay over the windshield from the center? It seems that the PO took some liberty with the mounting location and I'd like to set it straight.

Your windshield may have a little movement as its on a hinge. Do your bolt holes line up? Do you have doors on? looking at your gallery you have removed the window guides from your doors. Your hinge is likely stretched out unless you braced the windshield. Line up the back of the hard top and then push the windshield forward to line up the bolts.

Yeah mine has probably flexed a bit. The real reason I ask is because the PO did something funky to the bolt holes on the top (they're no longer there) and I want to make sure I'm in the ballpark with lining this thing up and drilling new holes.

Thanks.

so you want to know a measurement from the egde of the rain gutter to the center of the hole? My top came off 2 days ago and is sitting at work. I'll get you that measurement in 3 hours unless someone beats me to it.

I blew it. I'm sorry. I'm leaving this morning for a hunting trip and I've been pretty excited this week. It's double worse because now I am not by the hardtop to measure and won't be until Monday. One of these guys has to have a hard top laying around.

Sorry, feel free to picture me chasing a bat around with a pot.

Tom, I think it was already stated. My windshield layed back after taking the frames off the doors. I now run a brace from the roll bar to the center of the frame to keep it in place. I would mount the top equal at the rear then move the frame to align with the roof. I think mine was like an 1 1/2" or so of an overhang.
