Tony ..

Hey some of us are meeting up at the Va/NC border (Southland) at roughly 3:45 Friday. It's on your 168 route off of I-64. Meet us there!

I'll be bringing firewood as well. Will need help getting it onto beach!

Didn't plan on surfing but looks like I'll have to bring a board after all, thanks Igor. So much for just relaxing on the beach!;D

Man I would have loved to go but I just got back from a week and a half trip to the outer banks. Would have been cool to take the Bronco we stay about a 1/4 mile from where route12 turns to 4x4 beach.

I would love to go but the wife made plans for me this weekend and we just got back from a week in the outer banks. I saw a few nice broncos at that classic car dealer on the way in to OBX.
Have fun and post pics.

!"

Have you never heard of "just say NO"?
Me and Elijah thought we might be dippin' a line with ya!! Shayne said you needed to come because some one needed to teach him the proper way to catch some fish!!

Well, Things have started off well. The weather is absolutely awsome. Sitting outside looking at the stars and the moon, nice breeze blowing off the ocean..........

Everyone rolled in about the same time and we gathered and dined on some fresh baked pizza and frosty beverages. The first wave has landed....better go rest up for tomorrow!!!!

Here are some pictures. Thank you Biff for the great steak, shrimp, and potatos, and the entertainment with the campfire.

What an awsome time it was!! Gotta make this fast so I can go get the '73 out of the trailer and ready to drive the sand out of in the morning!! Ya'll should have come back for dinner, Tony! The crab and shrimp casidias you and Alan fixed at lunch were over the top. Thanks to everyone for coming and pitching in with the food and fun. Mark and Robbin did the shrimp spice just right. That extra Cajun you added was hot just right. My babydoll Shayne cut up all the veggies and skewed them for the grill. Thanks, baby. Scott grilled them to perfection. Mark picked the right time to pull the 'Taters out of the coals. What a blast. The weather and water could not have been better.... I'll try to get up some more shots later. Here's some for the time being.........

Looks like it was a great time had by all, sorry I missed it. Biff, it looks like you stress tested the welds on my front bumper, no better than I weld, good thing you did not run over your cooler rack. post some more pics.

That was a great weekend! We have been wanting to do that for 2 years. Brenda had never done a fire on the beach let alone a full-on cookout. She keeps talking about it! Awesome job Bronco brothers and sisters! Next time we will be in charge of "special drinks" and it will include a blender.;)
I'll get some pics up soon....

I here ya, Dave! I thought we were draggin' the rear getting off the island after stopping to climb the Hatteras Lighthouse and going for a little dip. But while sitting on the deck on top of Soey's enjoying some ice cream across the street from Jockey's ridge, we saw Dave (Core4x4) and the yellow Bronc go by on the bypass road. I had the big red Bronco Hauler and four door hidden out of sight.................uh, bumper welds are tested SAT, Jim!! Even carted the fire wood on it. Man, I think we nailed the perfect weather for the trip. Wave action from Igor was tremendous! Water temp was perfect. Got perfectly chilly saturday night for sitting around the fire. Overall I think I would have to rate this trip an A+.

Ah, looked like a great time!!! I left Va. Beach in 1981 after growing up there for 15 years as a kid. Our local favorite spots became the Outer Banks and Hatteras to get away from the summer tourist traffic at VB and of course to surf and fish. So these pics are so familiar. Been in the Mid-West since then and love it too. Just miss the places you guys visited recently and the Tidewater area. Thanks for the pics. Can anyone tell me what WRV means? ;D tim

Wave Riding Vehicles!!! There may still be a WRV stickers on the back glass of my old hard top that is now on my buddy Steve's '68......
We have been down there hit or miss over the past few years. I grew up going down there at every chance, too. The family had a place at the 9 milepost where I had a key in my pocket and always knew I had a toothbrush waiting, and maybe even a hot breakfast and my Granny singing in the kitchen. Those were the days! Heading all the way down to Frisco and after the tourist rush was the deal. Felt much more beachy, VERY much less hectic and absolutely not commercial.
