Guys-
Hate to say it, but I think my Bronco MIGHT need to be replaced with something my wife can drive and that will accomodate my growing family.
My 1966 Bronco (U15) is great/reliable daily driver and a
"10-footer"...something that looks great from 10 feet away, but up close
you can see some imperfections. The outside looks good (see the pics) but
the interior needs some work, but still not bad. Inside, the floor pans have been replaced and it wouldn't take much to finish out the interior. If you Linex the floor, install new front seats, you are just about done. I purchased the car 4 years ago and had it shipped from Arizona to Texas so there is very little rust anywhere. The car runs good, drives straight down the highway, and stops even better thanks to disc brakes up front. Long tube headers give it a nice, throaty rumble driving down the road.
Original 289 motor replaced
with a crate 302 7 years ago by previous owner. Transmission shifter (3 speed) has been moved to the floor. The Bronco sits on 31 inch tires (good tread) and has a 1 1/2 inch lift. Tagged and inspected. 4WD works fine, though rarely used. Windshield is cracked, fuel gauge doesn't work, minor leaks from transfer case and oil pan, and some minor paint imperfections. Vacuum wipers function, but just barely. No P/S or A/C.
Asking $9,000.
Please contact me directly for more info or if you just have some general
feedback for me.
You're also welcome to offer ways for me to keep my Bronco ...like if you have a spare Altima laying around you're not using. Bottom line though, wife can't drive a standard or a car w/o power steering and I need to fit 3 kids in back.
