I can’t believe January is almost gone and it’s time to change our calendars to February. I thought I might do a little post on the old girl that you all so kindly voted in to the calendar. I will start by saying it dose not snow much in south ga but it did that January day I think over 5” worth so I decided to get Miss January out for a photo shoot and that is where it happen the photo for the classic bronco calendar 2026 . I will give credit to Tasker here on classic broncos for giving her the name Miss January thanks Randy ! I bought this bronco in 2023 and started working on it wanting to make a driver quality bronco out of her she ran good and really was pretty much rust free . She had been a hunting truck up in the Tomaston Ga area and had a pretty rough life . I learn some of the history from Skinner here on classic broncos he spent some seat time in this truck hunting in middle Ga back in the day. I started doing some body work and plan to do some light paint work. I confess I really did not know what I was doing but I kept telling myself that it don’t matter because anything goes with a patina truck even if I mess up it’s all good right! it had a big dent in the rocker panel, dent in the grill ,and the taillight housing had been ripped off by hitting a tree with the spare tire horns .I left the dent in the grill for character but fixed the other 2 bad places. I painted the grill and replaced the hood with another original paint hood then tried to match paint ( but was not successful) but remember it’s a patina truck .I replaced the top with a nice top that had the correct chrome trim and original paint .Then bought some really nice original interior form another member here on CB and then some door panels and rear panels from blue 71. I then bought new carpet and did a custom gear shifter to get it to where I could shift it (I am 6’6” and over sized )and a 3 in the floor just dose not play well with my legs ! I finished off the inside with a ford sport steering wheel and new headliner. Then one of my favorite part of this whole truck is the wheels they are vintage Alcoa /Mickey Thompson - Challengers 15x10 with 33x12.50x15” coppers mt with 3.5” suspension lift . This truck is not a show stopper but it’s been fun and I know it’s not perfect but it’s a patina truck remember !
