Missing Bolt and Nut...Help!

Well, I broke my steering column a while back and so I rebuilt it with replacement parts from Bronco Hut. When I went to put it back in I noticed, of course that I was missing one bolt! The bolt and nut fell off and ran away during the rebuild. The bolt attaches the steering shaft to the flexible coupling. It holds a “c” clamp together. It is on 1977, with power steering. The local parts departments can see the bolt on the diagrams; however it does not have a part number to go with it. Anyone out there know the size of the bolt and nut?

I know the bolt you are talking about, but since it's just a bolt and a nut holding a clamp together, just put any old nut and bolt that fit in there. I really doesn't matter . You should use a lock nut or at least a lock washer with it. If you want the exact size I will go look at it for you, but like I say it doesn't matter. As long as the bolt fills the hole and the nut fits the bolt.

if i know that bolt and it isnt any old bolt.... (per mine)... the head of the bolt is smaller that the standard size. you should be able to get it from a bolt supplier with a wide selection. the reason the head is smaller then normal is to permit tool access..
