I can't wait to actually let the motor sing in some of that deep mud - I really didn't feel like coating myself and then hopping into my Excursion... I really aught to play in the mud when the showers and pressure washers are still on site ;)

Haha, right? Only thing that slowed me down was that I had to keep it out of the 7K rpm range. The u-joint exploded at the end of the cv by the yolk, thankfully the NP205 Spicer yolk held up, the junk stock atlas stuff would have broken.

I've got a spare shaft in the truck front and rear now. Both fronts are Tom Woods 1310 clearanced cvs to 1330 Ford yokes. Those are fine-

The rear are still 1310 cvs but I'm running a 1350 joint on the pinion end- I'm thinking of going to a 1350 cv if it will run the correct angle. I may have to step up to 1410- but it may be cheaper to fix a drive shaft every other year at that point.

the 1350 is a good choice its stronger and thers alot of posablities wit them i sell 1350 for 350 and there high angle to i do a litle mill work tha gives them even more angle pluss i make them greaseable thell last just as long as the 1310 1330 hyoke shafts if you go that route you need to get a uyoke for the transfer case that has a flange setup the bolt patern is 4 1/4 inches with a 2 inch piolot same as an f150 diff patern and piolet i aklso modify trancase yokes to fit any spline to flange setup reason you put flange set up is a 1310 1330 1350 1410 flange with same piolet will fit in other words ford makes all those flanges that are 4 1/4 bolt patern and thoes series tou can have a cheaper spare

I hear ya - a good friend of mine is one of the largest Spicer dealers in the upper midwest and designed a few parts for a small outfit called Overson Engineering ;)

I'll keep breaking my sub $10 drive shafts and keep an eye out at the junkyards for parts. I could simply get a 1350 CV and weld it to my driveshaft and be done in under an hour-

Its been some time since the Bronco has been in the garage - hell, last time I drove the Bronco was on my wedding day.

I got my heat working again in the garage and with winter wheeling around the corner I figured I should fix mine. I went digging and followed wires and found a switch - flipped the switch and the fan came on, lol. I totally spaced I fixed the fan - at least I've got heat again :)

Last night I could focus on a few small things and got sucked into fixing the headlights.
20141212_232400_zpsggluv9vk.jpg

The wiring was trashed from having a plow integrated into it some time ago - the driver side plug was long gone and the pass side was in shambles. I ordered a set of headlight pigtails for my other project (that hasn't been touched in years) and I have a pile of relays and a ton of wire - relay harness time!

I ran 12ga power and grounds off the battery to the relays and wired up the hi and low beams to my foot switch. I picked up a pair of new lights from the auto parts store and did some night wheeling in the back yard! I was whipping shitties on the pond in 3rd gear high range for some time and when I came to a stop the rear tires were steaming ;D Aparently I know how to make really balanced drive shafts as I had the tires spinning over 85MPH when I was doing circles vibration free!

After that excitement I headed back into the garage to fix another issue I've been dealing with - no interior lights. Now my stock gauge doesn't read anything anymore - 4G means no ammeter, no temp gauge as I run a mechanical - the same for oil. I swapped to a fuel cell and I've got no speedo, but it would be nice if it illuminated. I replaced a few blown fuses and got it to light up, but it stopped after the dimmer switch started showing sparks down. I think it's toast :D

I did get a dome light installed - I bought a literal rope of 4 pod LED lights and I installed one off the wiper motor bracket pointing down and tied into the dome light wiring that I'm not using as I don't run a wiper cover. It's silly bright - perfect.

No fair lead? The winch is really exposed and you would be surprised how fragile they can be in the right circumstances.

It's not a complete prototype, I'll probably run some plate directly in front of the face about half way up. There is no fairlead because I didn't feel like making one either!

My winch is a little different anyway - lol, I bought this back in 2009!

Well it was about time I got some thicker armor on the front axle - so out with the old, in with the new.

Everything has to be clean - sure love the green wheels I've got.

Ruff Stuff cover with a Lubelocker gasket - torque the diff cover wasn't fun, but it shouldn't be as bad as dealing with RTV.
