I know it was recently mentioned on the TV. or Movies thread but thought I would start an individual thread in case ya'll haven't heard about a new TV series on Motor Trend call Brand New Muscle Car: Bronco.

I believe its on its third episode and is doing a complete frame-off coyote resto-mod. They are based out of Tulsa and may be part of Bronco Hut since I believe they recently relocated to Tulsa. The show also has a segment called "The Z Files" where Todd Zuercher (the author of Ford Bronco book) talks about the history of the Bronco.

Are ya'll watching?

Not sure what your talking about on Bronco Hut relocating to Tulsa. They’re 10 minutes away from me in Castle Rock, CO and still there. There shop has grown in size over the last few years but they’re having trouble finding decent body guys.

From Bronco Hut's Facebook page: "We are excited to announce The Bronco Hut is expanding and moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma starting this week. We will continue to be available at the same phone numbers and email addresses. Our service and selection will be the same and then substantially increase going forward. We will be centrally located and better positioned to service customers nationwide. As always we will offer the very best in new and used parts, paint, body and mechanical repair and restoration, builds, and custom work for all Broncos. We love and appreciate our loyal customers. Bronco nuts unite! Great things are ahead. Stay tuned. Thank you! No one out Bronco’s The Hut! www.broncohut.com"

Read in the comments after Facebook post that they moved parts distro to Tulsa but still have the Castle Rock location for service.

Dang! Ok didn’t see that at all. I would have never known otherwise. I wonder if it has something to do with finding decent employees. I was on their waiting list for body work for over a year when they finally told me they are so far behind that they didn’t know when they would get to it. They finally turned me onto another shop that’s getting into the Bronco resto business and doing really good work. They said they’ve started farming work out to them as well

Motor trend has shops all over. They have a big office/shop out here around the corner from me. Theyre filming some of the builds here but not the bronco. 4wor comes out of the office over here. I always drive down the alley behind it and see what they have hanging around.

Green bastard, can you say the name of the shop? Good shops are hard to find.

Thanx

You would think todd z would be in here promoting his gig. Maybe he needs to hire super dave as his PR guy.

Sure, it’s Tim’s Paint and Body in Alamosa, CO. They have been a collision repair shop for decades but they have been working to switch over to Bronco restorations exclusively for a while now. When I talked to Melissa at Bronco Hut, it sounds like they have been working closely together to come up to speed on the ins and outs of the original Bronco. She also indicated that they have a lot of really good body guys there and their work is on par with Bronco Hut’s. Enough so that she said they were farming out some work to them. They had 4 others in the shop when I brought mine in. One was almost complete and the quality was VERY good and exactly what I was looking for.

I’m certainly not bashing Bronco Hut over the wait though. Melissa and Dana have been a huge help over the years and I’ll continue to go back to them. I knew they were having staffing issues, I just wish I had been told sooner that the wait time would be very long and unpredictable instead of being told “a few more months” several times over a 15 month period.

Looks like they started with a U13 Roadster - or at least the frame & VIN?

I'm not sure that it's available anywhere yet except on Motor Trend TV. Maybe it'll come out on a website or youtube later?

Three episodes have aired to date.

It's interesting to watch the Amazon sales ranking for my book before/after an episode airs. I definitely get a bump for a few hours and I'm thankful for that.

It was a lot of fun to shoot - I've not done much TV stuff before so it was a new experience for me. They didn't have to do many re-takes which they said was a good thing.

I can't remember half of what I said so every week is a bit of mystery on what I'll say :).

My Bronco is shown in the opening sequence of each show - it's a black/white video of it driving in the desert. In the first two episodes, there was also a shot of its undercarriage as I drove over the camera. I've seen a few other blips of it here and there in the series as well.

Or you can have u-verse and get none of em.

SteveL, I have u-verse and the show comes on Sat morning on channel 1104 (MTHD) at 8:30 CST. But not seeing it as an option for on-demand.
