I have made the decision to upgrade my brakes to hydorboost on the Stroppe. I presently have a 351w SEFI with an existing BC Broncos brake booster on it. Has anyone used the existing BC Broncos bracket and mounted their Hydroboost to it? If so any pics or recommendations ? I am going with the astro van hydroboost unit -What all do I need?

If its an auto you need to put it over the fender and get one with the flat bracket ...think they some pics in my gallery

Even if its a standard then just convert it to a hyd clutch and put that over the fender too , no pics on that I just did it this weekend

If you use the angle bracket from BCB's, you'll need to shorten the rod on the Hydro boost. Cut and thread it, so you can thread a clevis onto the bellcrank. The bellcrank kit from Ebay will only work with the factory 76'-77' angle brackets. They are longer than the after market type. You could make it work with a spacer between the two, but that isn't very clean looking IMO.

I used a BC Broncos booster bracket with my Hydraboost. I used a stock 1977 Lincoln Hydrabooster. I made a bushing for inside the booster push rod eye to bring the large hole down to the clevis pin size. I made square tube spacers between the booster and the BC bracket to take up the length of the booster rod. I mounted the Hydrabooster upside down. I used the Lincolns clock ring on the master cylinder and an Econoline mastercylinder. Everything is stock parts unmodified so if need be new parts will just bolt on.
