Well after a couple years the time has come, got them recovered, got my rear cage from moabmike now gonna mount the seats. I was gonna make some plates to mount the seat brackets to as i just don't trust the glass floor or large washers, any input! what did everyone else do without-tieing into the cage / Next i got a set of 3-point seatbeats outta the junkyard(nice land-rover ones) can i mount the piece where u slide the belt(with the release button) onto the side of my Tuffy if I plate this also? Any input will Help

Under the floor there are (2) 2 inch wide strips of steel that run from front to back so that both front and rear seat bolts on one side go thru the steel. The steel was primed and painted to deter rust. Two strips per seat. I have only lap belts and under the floor for each bolt is a steel plate, similar to the seat strips.

My seats are not mounted to the cage because it makes the seat too high. My cage is tied to the frame, 6 pts.

I've got mounting plates - 1/4" on the underside - they're about 3" x 5", but I got some corbeau seats for Christmas - those get mounted to the cage. Current seats are too tall and harness is attached to the cage - so pretty much a bad combo till I fix it (seats and harness/belts should be attached to the same structure - otherwise very bad things can happen).
