It is either a bad connection or the cable going to the starter from the battery is Bad.

Either way it's a cheap quick fix. Make sure all your connections are clean and solid and if you still get the buzz while trying to start it just replace the cables.

A weak battery will cause a buzzing from the solenoid as will a poor ground at the solenoid.
Start by cleaning your battery and ground connections at both ends of your cables. Make sure you have a good body and chassis ground also. HTH

If you have a voltmeter, you can check to see if battery has 12 volts. If not then most auto store can test battery for you. Also check cable connections for corrosion. Clean them if you need to but if they're old cable, you might think about replacing them. Can you jump start? If you can then it would be the above and if not them you might need to look at the solenoid for lose connection or replace to see if it's bad.
