Mustang Shaker Scoop on an EB?

Been tossing around this idea for a while. Want to put an after market mustang shaker scoop on my '89 mustang 5.0L engine that's in my '69 EB. Surfed around the net for a bit tonight and can't seem to find anything for the fox bodied cars. Everything is for '99 and up it seems.

Is there anyone more versed in the mustang world that can lead me to a product or anyone have any ideas as to how to make this work. I know there's no real hp gain, I just like the look of them and think it would be a great addition to my truck that I haven't seen done before.

Yeah all that thread is carburated talk. Bronco Italiano is the only one that mentions efi in there. He's online right now hopefully he'll chime in.

I think MonkeyBiz did some research into this. You should email him.

That pic is a bit small but I don't think that's a shaker. I haven't seen one on an EB but I think it would be sweet.

Mnkybiz was looking into this... do a search for "shaker mnkybiz" and you'll find a few threads.

A shaker scoop is mounted to the air cleaner and passes through a hole in the hood. Here's one on a Mach 1 from Carlisle last year...

Did that search, looks like he went in another direction. Almost tempted to sell my engine and go with a carbed stroker instead. That way I could run this shaker no problem. My dad's buddy has been hassling me to sell it to him anyways........

Would also save me spending $550 on Ryans harness as well.

Posted a thread at vancouvermustangs.com. No replies with 30 views. I can't believe a kit doesn't exist for the fox bodied cars.

There is kits everywhere for your mod engine. Easiest way to do it for sure. Kits will run you $700+ though. Not a cheap aesthetic engine mod.

a friend of mine works for a company who sells aftermarket shakers, he has one on his '06 F-150. i can find out how much they are, but they'd need mods to make them fit since they're designed to fit a 5.4 EFI setup.
