Scott,

Bronco looks like it is gonna be Sahweet. That Rod Shop gave it alot of well deserved LOVE! Looking forward to seeing this come together.

Keep it coming!

x2 - love that color - great job on matching the liner too!

Instead of dynamating the entire bed have you thought of doing something like the ICON did? Removable carpet sections? Helps dampen the noise but still removable when you want to hose out the inside. I thought of finding some heavy jute-backed carpet and having some piping sewn around the edges to help it look nice. Some custom ways to snap it in for a quick removal and 'boo-bam' you're golden!

Yes I have. Whether I dynamat the whole bed or not, the carpet will be edge-trimmed and snapped in for quick removal. I plan on making some custom quarter panel speaker enclosures so I definitely want that area dynamatted, I'm just not committed to the floors yet.

Fantastic work Scott. Make sure you take a lot of pictures and document your 4R70W install. I'll be doing the same swap soon and I'm interested to see how yours goes.

Keep up the good work and you'll be driving it before you know it!

The 4R70W is home from the transmission shop with new Advanced Adapters kit installed to mate to the Dana 20. I briefly thought about just using the ZF adapter and not have to tear down the transmission, but ultimately decided that tearing it down was a good idea. It had been in storage for several years and did have a few problems when they into the guts.

Here I'm just getting started installing the Painless EFI harness. I'm going ahead and installing the split loom now with it all in place so that when I reinstall later it will just drop right in. It may not be necessary, but I did order the extra long harness to give me more options in locating the computer.

Is there any reason not to paint the flex plate? I've read a internet stories about keeping the interface bare metal to make sure the bolts don't walk out, but is there any issue in regard to balance with paint on there?

It wouldn't be Valentine's Day (+1) without a little wine, some foreplay, and some sweet talking to get these mated...

I think she needs just a little more wine, or maybe some creative cursing, to close the deal. I'm having a hard time getting the splines to line up and close the last 1/2 inch between them. Hopefully I'll have an extra pair of hands to spin the shaft while I guide it in tomorrow. If all goes well, we will pull the hood off and set it all in place.

I finally got a shipment notice from BC Broncos...my headers and t-case rebuild kit are on the way. ;D
