Try goign to the advance auto parts web site and in the search bar type the napa number 206244. it is not to much cheeper but the core is less. I dont know on how it will work with your set up but i think it is the same from the pictures. if that does not work you can go into a store and they should be able to cross it over.

I use the Napa Pump with my 35's Works much better than my stock pump did, and napa took my stock pump as the core, NO CHARGE;D Its a nice upgrade from stock, and swaps out quick. LOL

My understanding is that pump is one of the lower pressure saginaw pumps. I have a lower pressure saginaw on my EB with 35s and have no problems. Just about anything is better than the stock pump.

I tried my NAPA store and they won't take my old stock pump for a core, so they said the price was gonna be like 159.00. Any way to get around the core? I kinda know these guys and they will know if I bring them a 30 year old pump for a core. They usually cut me deal on stuff though so I can probably get the NAPA pump for 140.00. Still hate to pay the core.

I had an old canned ham saginaw pump that had been bouncing around in my parts hauler for awhile, that I used for the core. They didn't have any problems taking it.

Any of you guys experiencing a high whining from the PS since you replaced the pump?

Still have my stock pump, it leaks and squeals at the stops, still works, probably won't replace it until it fails. Reason I ask is I had my 250's replaced with a napa, and the damn thing makes me crazy with that noise. we have replaced it(warranty) but the same thing. No one but me seems to think it is offensive, but I drive it a lot. I do not want to experience the same thing in the EB.

Just wondering if this is common.

I tried the NAPA saginaw pumps with 35's TWICE, they did not last. I finally bucked up $$$ and went with a WildHorses heavy duty pump. Havent had a problem since, this is on a Pony thats wheeled hard on weekends and daily driver with 35's.

I used a pump of an '86 F-350. I think the core was only $20 (although any Ford V-8 pump will work) and the whole thing was $60 out the door. Another $35 in adapting a '91 F-150 4x4 PS hose to the stock box end and I was done. I bolted it in there and steering was easy once again. And yes this is with a '76 quick ratio box.

I tried it vs. a guy with a Saginaw and mine was easier to turn. I also have 35's on 10 inch rims.

Just food for thought

Indian Harbour Bch,
I just did it. 2nd pump tho... 1st one never ever pumped at all.. so I brought back and it's working well with my 35" tires on 10" rims, mild off roading and beaching... no whining, but make sure the belt is tight.... they took my old stock pump as core too.. they like me...
