I just had an interesting phone call. Rick Pewe from Peterson's Four Wheel Drive Magazine called and told me that I am one of the top 10 finalists list for the 2008 Ultimate Adventure! ;D I never thought in a million years that they would have picked me. Well, they haven't picked yet. They will pick 3 or 4 out of the top 10 to go. I should know in the next two weeks if I am picked.

Well you better get to work on that beast!! Did you submit your story/build???

No problem dude. Give me a call when ever you'll be down this way. It'll have to be on a weekend or after 5:00 during the week though. ;)

Thanks A! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I bet they have some damn nice rigs to choose from though. It's going to be tough.

Funds sent!

Patrick - that's way cool!
Tony - sounds like good progress... can't wait for the pics.
Moab guys - I'm jealous!

I didn't do squat to my rig over the weekend (out of town plans kept me away) and my job has been consuming too much of my time for me to feel like wrenching in the evenings during the week. And no, I do not want any cheese with my whine...

When NCB is back up I'll post some pics. Briefly - the engine is ready to run. All underhood wiring is complete (well at least everything that's needed to make it run), dash wiring is about 90%. A new ignition switch is en-route along with a brake light switch. Once this is all done, a rear driveshaft will be in the works, plus a steering column and linkages.

I am really looking forward to finishing up the paint too...

Carl, thanks to you and your bro. Sounds like you two have been to hell and back. Funds on the way as soon as I pull my head out of my A$$.
Patrick, That kicks a$$! What a way to end a build, not that they're ever done but I'm tryin to figure out what mod would be next. You've done so much to it. You know if you make it you have to have a party. We could head down your way or maybe Pops could host at CASA DE YELTON.
Good luck with the selection. That's a video I would buy.

In those pics it's sitting at 98.5" wheel base with the front end push. When I link the rear it should be somewhere around 102".
Can't wait to get the seats and belts in and go for a ride.
