Need a minimal amount of tire clearance

I have oversized tires on 17" rims on my stock height, no lift original Bronco. The fit great and look even greater! I had to trim a piece of the front left inner wheel well. The problem I am having is the right side rear rubs very slightly when the wheel travel up. On the driver side I have 3/8 of an inch clearance. On the passenger side I have .050! When things move around the tire just barely makes contact but it makes a terrible noise!

I loosened all the rear spring attachment hardware and attempted to shove the axle over but this did not get me anything.

I need .125" I think to make this fit perfectly (I never off road).

Option 1: use a cut off wheel and trim .125 off the inner lip
Option 2: can I loosen the body bolts and shift the body over???
Option 3: 1" body lift. This would be more work than I want for a little bit of rubbing

A friends Bronco we had to push the body over. he was almost an inch off center. Beware once you start cranking on body bolts you may open up a big can of worms.

Spray the bolts (we used P.B.Blaster) and sprayed a couple times during the week then on the weekend busted them loose. All but one and we broke that bolt. Then we had to fix that. One hour job took all day. We got it close but not exactly centered. We also had to re-shim the body mounts behind the doors which helped with door alignment sag after all the years.

Just watch the rabbit that wants to burrow a new hole. Or you will end up with new 1" body lift with integral body mounts and all new hardware and 2 weeks taken from your life. Which was what we should of done. Don't drop the hardware down the frame hole in the rear. Duct tape the frame under the mount.

That sounds like a nightmare....or just about right with all the random things I had to fix when I replaced my c bushings a month ago.

The cut off wheel may be coming out...
