I need to borrow or rent an engine hoist this Saturday morning for an hour to load a 302 engine I bought from a member on here into the back of a small pick up.

A friend and I are driving up from Charleston, SC early Saturday morning in a small 4cyl Ranger pick up that another friend has loaned to us, and he would prefer I don't haul a engine hoist and an engine + accessories the 350 miles back home. Apparently the truck has some softer aftermarket springs in the back and the older 4cyl doesn't need the added stress also.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks y'all.

Thanks Nate, N. Augusta is on the way but the idea is to keep the extra weight transportation down to a minimum.

Hey Ben, Blazinchuck and I are going to the Powder Springs area to pick up the engine. I said the "Atlanta area" just to cover a larger audience, hoping to find a solution. I have a Brother in law and a friend with "some friends" in the area that are asking around but they haven't been able to lock down anything yet.

got'ca, it may help to change the thread title to "Powder Springs Area", a lot of guys may be within 15-20 min of there. I'm about an hour away. I didn't think Chuck's probation officer would let him leave SC!!!!;D;D;D
Good luck!!!
