I need a instuction manual on the break down on my small bearing rear end, it has a hard to explain feeling when accelerating from a stop.....it kind of lurches kind of clunky-like. I have a newly rebuilt T-case,a new np435, new u-joints and I drove it with the rear driveshaft removed without the issue showing up front or in the T case.
Also I have replaced the wheel bearings.
Is the rebuild on the rearend hard? I see that JBG sells them for $95.

What do you guys suggest

I'm not touching it.
actually the 9in is one of the easiet to rebuild. I would check the back lash set ebrake unhook drive shaft and twist the yoke to see how much play you have. you may have a worn yoke also. if your doing a rebuild you may want to replace the spidergears, side gears and thrust washers they will also cause some of the play in the drive train, currie enterprises is a very good vender for 9in parts I've used them and had great service

Thanks for the help ...I do not think it is the rearend or the driveshaft any more.... see my other post

Thanks

"Should there be any play on the rear output shaft on a dana 20? There is some side play on it...

I have been thinking that I have had u-joint issues but it seems its from the t-case output.

I rebuilt it less than 3000 miles ago, but I had to have the output assembly pressed apart and assembled by a engine shop.

Could it hopefully be the yoke backing out of it?

Guys I need some help...this is my daily driver

Thanks"
