• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I'm new to this forum and am actually trying to get some help pricing this vehicle for sale. My nephew who has told me I could sell this vehicle feels it is worth more than I think it is. It does not run. No one has run it or started it for 6 years. It has flat tires. It has dual gas tanks. There is some rust, but not so bad that it couldn't be cleaned up and repainted. It would need reupholstered seats. Everything is original in this vehicle. I am sure it could be restored and look great. Several people have expressed an interest in it for that purpose, but my nephew would not sell it then. This Bronco would have to be totally restored.
PS - Cars are not my "thing" so if you ask a lot of questions I will probably be clueless.

I will get pictures for you and post them either tomorrow or later tonight. Thanks for your willingness to help. I think my nephew is pricing with his heart and not his head. He is thinking he will restore it and make big $$$$, but he hasn't done anything with it in four years.

In my opinion, unless you are superior at body work and have a very very good start, making big money doesn't happen often. Even with superior skills, it's hard to make money because fixing one takes so much $$$$. It seems the only thing bringing big money is either high dollar restos with efi or uncut survivors. Keep in mind, this is just my opinion

He doesn't have deep pockets, which is why I suppose it is still sitting here.

Sounds like a $3,000-$5,000 Bronco, depending on extent of body damage. Originality is good, but sounds like a total project.

And the longer they sit the worse it gets!

Go to ebay, and do a search for your year Bronco. Then hit the box to look at COMPLETED AUCTIONS. Compare the sales in green to what yours looks like. Repeat search for all years from 66 to 77. Annnnnnnnd your research is done.

Thanks for all your help. I got some pictures before it started to get dark, but still need to get interior and a picture of the engine. Here is what I have of the exterior:

A bath would certainly make the Bronco look better, but with three flat tires I have a little problem moving it.

Can't enlarge the pics as much as I'd like to get a feel of the outer rust issues. I'm assuming the "green stuff" good ol' Southern tree pollen? :) It is rough, but for the person who would want to make a crawler out of it, it may be up their alley.

As most will agree, there are critical points on a Bronco that could make or break an affordable restoration for someone. When you can, get a few pics of under the hood, toward the rear of the inner fender. Also, take pics of the exposed floor pans (pull carpet or floor mats back), inner rockers, and outer tailgate, just to name a few.

Early Bronco's have and do bring nice dividends, but as said, that is for the low rust survivors or the highend fox engine swaps.

More pics of rust areas, interior, and engine bay will definitely be needed to help with a more precise, unofficial appraisal.

I am still going back in forth with my nephew about how much he will sell it for. Here is what I know about this after having someone show me what I need to look at. The door frames are good on both sides. The rocker panel on the passenger side is good, the driver side is rusted. There are dings and dents on the driver's side around the front wheel, a couple on where the roof joins the cab, Someone looked at the floor pans on the underside and said they looked to be in good shape. The tailgate and the lift portion are both in good condition. The instrument panel looks good. Let's see if these pictures paste correctly. I'm so sorry this is long. I looked to see if there is a way to spoiler the pictures. I need to get some other pictures tomorrow.
