Need some new tires.

The tires on my EB are almost 10 years old. So I'm thinking I might need to replace them even though there is nothing wrong with them. Just getting worried about driving on them. So I guess I'm in the market for some new ones. She's a street queen that gets maybe 1500 miles on her a year. I know she's more of a garage queen, but it's what time allows. Anyway what's a good tire for a good price?

I like the Toyo Open Country A/T for a good all around tire. It has a fairly aggressive tread that's a good look on a Bronco but it's still a smooth quiet tire for the street.

BFG All Terrain is probably one of the all time best tires ever made, and they wear like iron.

For a mud terrain I really like the Mickey Thompson MTZ's. Amazingly quiet for such an aggressive tire, and they wear like iron too.

heard good things about the Nitto Terra grapplers

We have used some of those Nittos on our Geo-Drilling trucks (F-150/250's)
They will wear well but you need to rotate them pretty often.
The guys said they have a really stiff sidewall, so they ride pretty rough compared to the Goodyear Wranglers that were on the trucks.
Stiff sidewall is impressive, one of the trucks was showing 6 PSI in a tire but it only showed a slight bulge. Real stiff, and while us 4 wheelers want a strong but compliant sidewall the drilling crews want something that can take a load. They also want something that will stay on the wheel when low on air. They do that well.

But again they need to be rotated often or they will start cupping (radically uneven tread wear from one tread block to another) if carrying a lot of weight.
Not sure they would be too good for our eb's, but seem to be good for heavy trucks.

Hard to beat the bfg at's for a mostly street driven rig. They may not look as cool as some beefy mud tires but vibrating down the road gets old. That's why near new mud tires are so cheap on craigslist.

I'm loving my duratracs, but for a mostly street rig I'd go with the bfg ATs. I've ran those for... 15? 20? years on rigs and it is great on pavement, dirt, mild trails, and variable street conditions.
