OX1, must like burnt clutches and lugging underpowered vehicles. The best part of owning a early bronco is not just the looks but the great acceleration and pulling power. I wouldn't give up my 4.11 gears and 31.1050s for nothing.

Maybe it's the terrain. It's pretty flat and sea level here (kinda like the area the original poster is in). Another buddy (he now has a 76 and is on this board) ran a 79 F150, 300 six (headers, duals, 4 bbl, etc..), 435 trans, 4.10's and 36 swamper radials. That thing hauled on the highway. He went through a bunch of engines (from playing submarine too often ;D http://www.njfourwheelers.com/pictures/photogallery5/pages/jon.htm , but he never ate clutches).
