new 351w timing help

dirtdonk yes shell ND 30w with lucas break-in zinc additive
when i had it running at 45 degrees I tried to breakin the cam 15 min or so not as good as i like too hope its all good still

advance too soon? Sure it could. I have seen distributors with over 40 degrees of advance at idle.

I'd bet on a bad $50 China dizzy... Anybody lone you a known working one?

alright got it figured out put a new Mallory and fixed the timing problem its night and day dumb me tried to be cheep I new better than to buy a 50$ dizzy I can now say ever thing under my hoods new with name brand parts it that mean anything hahha

Well guy thanks for all the help spent around 2500$ on everything don't thank that was to bad starter,power steering pump,water pump,dizzy, carb,1 wire,junk yard motor then had it rebuilt in to long block, head work (87 351 heads new springs valves
