And there shouldn't be a shim anywhere on an Early Bronco. (maybe between the hood and the cowl...but other than that, Bronco's don't come with shims.
If you mean from the factory, yes they did. So did the full-size trucks of that era.
I’m sure not every Bronco had them. But I’ve seen them on many.
Pretty sure members here have mentioned finding shims on theirs as well.

No, I mean that the design intent was not to have shims. The factory used precise jigs and fixtures to ensure that body mounting points were in the correct location.

I have no doubt that somebody has a Bronco that then think left the factory with a shim. But it should be a very rare exception. If you think about the way that the Bronco was assembled, a body shim would have to be added AFTER the body was married to the chassis. That's not trivial.
