Ok so this issue has been beat to death but I was in Detroit last night having dinner with my girlfriend and some of her friends. One of the guys who was there was a young guy and the subject of my bronco came up and he was immediately interested in seeing the photos. His response upon seeing them was "oh yeah that thing is totally bad ass, I've seen the new body style that's coming out and your going to want to keep that one!" I asked him "wait you've seen the new style? Not all this Internet speculation stuff but the actual style?" He was like "oh yeah, I work at ford...." I'm not going to go into details on what department he was in becuase I don't want him to get in trouble if a big shot from ford were to read this and put the clues together. I tried to coax some more details out of him and he said the closest resemblance of an image that's floating around is that silver concept that came out a few years ago and his words were "sorta of hummerish" looking. He felt like they came up short and shoulda made it look more retroish. Anyways, that's my bronco gossip for the day

I don't mind the 2004 concept. Much better than the latest cookie cutter speculation

I could deal with the first concept that was out in 2004! The way I see is that could easily morph into something even better like what has happened with the mustang and the direction it has headed since it came out. I thought the original retro was bad ass looking but the latest versions are even nicer IMHO! In fact, no comparison. Gotta start somewhere! ;D

I'd think we would be getting close to seeing the official new design from Ford. Oh the anticipation!

Just saw in the news some pics of what appears to be the new Ranger down in Australia. Article stated it appeared to be the Raptor Ranger and that the Raptor option would probably be available for the Bronco, as well. Gives you an idea of what the front end will look like since they will share the same platform.

looks like a Tacoma.

IFS, not a solid axle d44 as hoped. This would be a good ranger, not so much a Bronco. If they make it like this they are going after the forerunner/cherokee/subaru crowd, not pure offroad wrangler/bronco crowd.

From time to time I think I would like to get a newer vehicle that I don't really care much about and can't develop much enthusiasm over. Just a user. That Ranger prototype fits the bill just nicely. Enough said.:-X
