Well the newness is wearing off, but that is to be expected, but with 2 delays, that's a foul ball, this "invitation only" "meet the Bronco family" fiasco, which was more of a "meet one parent and the red-headed stepchild" is foul #2, and now the "leaked" MPG on sasquatch is supposedly 17 MPG? that's strike 1....

Build dates are supposed to be buy the end of the month, if not, could be strike 2.

My 2012 Escape is reaching 200k miles and will be retied then, with or without a production Bronco......

We'll see........

17mph I'm good with, hard to believe though. But wife's Armada gets 15, so 17 is much improvement.

Strike 2 for me is the range...if there is no aftermarket large tank incoming then I'm out. The Sas has less range than a 50 yr old bronco. :)

I was pretty good with things, and was pretty good with the email today until I got to the bottom where I'll sum it up for everyone...

"If you folks who built a bronco like you want and don't have a build date as of yet, if you would like to build a bronco that you DIDN'T want just so you can have one now, please do so...."
Whoever wrote and whomever approved that email are marketing and customer service idiots.

My dealer let me read the email he got from Ford that basically told them how to sell this to the customer. It read that if the customer would like to change his order and drop the v6. Drop the hard top. Drop the lux package. Drop the Sasquatch. Drop the badlands or wild track. Then their order might be expedited. It’s obvious to me that those in charge of this whole thing has no idea what a bronco is supposed to be. I’ve seen these things at two SUper celebrations and at the “Big Reveal” online and the ones Ford has representing them are always millennials. If Ford didn’t order enough sh** to fill the orders it’s because they totally mis guessed what the public would want. I can see them sitting around sipping their Starbucks and looking at their tweeter accounts and saying “ most people will want the 4cyl engine because they are trying to conserve gasoline”. “Most people won’t want Sasquatch because that might tear up the dirt”. “Most people won’t want a hard top because when we’re out hiking in our $500 hiking boots and our Patagonia clothes, we’ll want to drop a soft top”. In my opinion they put the wrong people in charge of this release and if I did my job the way they did theirs, I’d be fired. Sorry about the rant. I’m 3 beers in

4 beers now. Let me also say that if it is understandable that you could mis guess some of the options, every freaking Bronco needs a top. How can you Misguess the number of tops?

So they sent an email out to tell everyone that they could not tell them anything and they are supposed to feel better about it..... I bet Henry is spinning in his grave.
