Thanks, it keeps evolving but it is one of those rare instances where it is turning out exactly how I pictured it. I still have a bit of fab work to do before getting it tuned up for paint and I'm kind of at the point where it's turning into more work than I expected but I'm still excited to get it finished and bolted up. The pictures of the welds are of the good stuff, I've never taken any instruction on welding, just kind of learned on the go. One of these days I want to learn more so I can make all my welds look good.

Still need to get the 8274 powder coated and put back together. Didn't realize that picture was so blurry, posted from my phone. Here's a couple more.

Some more work done, getting busy with other things, an hour here and there is a slow go. Another mock up, this time with the winch

Dude, that is so cool! I know it would be expensive, but it would look great chromed. Really give it that factory modified look.

Great fab work work and design!

Hmmm, let me think, it is a good bumper and very stout but I think I'll stick with this one for now.

Thanks, thought about it but the rear is black & chroming it would really be expensive! Black chrome would be soooo cool though!

Ha! I thought about that after I posted and noticed it. Truth is that I'm rebuilding two 8274's and grabbed the closest shell for mock-up. I assure you that the closest Jeep parts are getting to this Bronco is this....

Sorry, couldn't resist bustin' your chops for the sticker! BTW, I like the look of the stock bumper integrated into your design. That's really cool!

Didnt bother me, I'd be disappointed if someone didn't chime in on the Jeep equipment, and during the AMC years no less!

I won a Warn 9.5 winch at a raffel. The winch was donated by a local Land Rover dealer and it says Land Rover on the data plate! I guess that's better than jeep!

Ted, it's looking good!

Thanks guys, I'm trying to get it wrapped up. Made the last two cardboard templates tonight and got some of the welds cleaned up. I'll be running the winch with the Warn nameplate , the Jeep on will get sold to help fund the build. Maybe I'll list it on pirate.

Nice fab work Ted and looks really nice. What's the weight difference between this one and your current one? Are you planning on going head-to-head with a tank?;D

Thanks Dave, it's probably going to be at least 50# lighter than the old one. The old one was a beast, just ask Eoth, he bought it. I actually want it as heavy as I can get it. The rear bumper with spare is probably pushing 300# plus. Makes for a lower center of gravity and a little easier ride with a little more weight on the bumpers. I welded up the last plates tonight. I just need to test fit and weld the mounting nuts in place. Then it's time to tune it up for paint!
