Have reproduced cold air box for early Broncos. Got a combination box brake, shear and roller from tractor supply. Shear is a little challenged at times, but brake works well (90 degree max). But overall I am happy with the design. I will need about 4 of these thing for myself. If anyone is interested in one let me know and i will figure a price. Would come with no doors, but easy to fit. Also going to make the jack hold down plate (one that is always missing) for the early '66. Finally got an original for a pattern.

Finally have shop setup again and have tweeked the final pattern for the air box. First model was off just enough to have a little intereference, so I just finished reworking a original early '66 cowl which gave me great and easy access to do final fitting for the fresh air box. Should have available the end of the week. If any interest still let me know. I have started and have enough metal cut for 4 units for now and will hand fit each one to the original cowl with holes marked and pilot holes drilled. ALso you will need to supply door from your box, but aany year from '66 to '77 will fit. Box will be painted in semi-gloss black (indside and out) after the seams are sealed to help prevent water accumulation between lap joints.
It has taken me a while to get to this point, but they will be worth the wait--I will post pics of finished box and a sale price--Thanks.

Finally got the patterns tweeked and these are available now. These come without the door, but pilot holes are drilled and new correct style screws included. Also include scews to mount to firewall and these have an integrated washer to help prevent leakage. Will still need to use sealer on firewall, but unit itself nas seams sealed and will be painted in correct black over self etching primer. Has correct inside brace and is made from 20 ga steel like original.

For sale as follow:

You paint yourself--$50 plus shipping.
To you painted and ready to install: $70 plus shipping. Let me know if interested, I have two done ready to go---in no one wants will use on my own '66, but I will hold on to patterns if any future interest-Rick

Yes, the original and this one are open in the back (see upper picture for side by side of original and my first prototype). It is held to firewall and cowl by hex head screws. I'll get one painted and sealed this week
