I know there’s some Painless reps around this forum...or just some knowledgeable people that have maybe had the same issue:

I’m finishing up ironing out bugs for the Roundup and finally traced my battery drain. I have a brand new Painless harness. The horn switch is immediately activated and even gets hot after awhile. The horn just stays on. I thought it was just an issue in the column when I originally found it, so I pulled the horn wire until I had time to pull the wheel. Well, it’s not the column. The horn blares whether the wires hang free and not touching anything or whether they are connected to the horn button. I just pulled the whole horn switch for now. Is the switch bad? I can’t see how it would be in the harness since it’s new. Any help with this circuit is appreciated.

not sure how they have it wired up but I would guess they use a relay, if so its either stuck, wired incorrectly, or the trigger wire is either always hot or grnded, depends which is used for the trigger wire on the relay

By switch I think you mean the relay? The switch is the horn button on your stock or after market steering wheel. I would do a quick relay swap. If that's not it you will need to make sure the relay connector is wired correctly.

Yes, I meant relay, not the switch. I’ll have to get another relay to test it then unless there is a test I can do directly on it with a multimeter.
