I'm about to clean and detail this uncut '76 Explorer and put it on the block. But I thought I'd offer it to the list first. I'm planning on removing the tach, Mustang fender hi po badges (I'm now leaving the badges) and roll bar. I have a spare tire that's included. The tailgate is a rustfree unit from another Bronco.

The Bronco has very little rust. The rockers and front floors were replaced. Some other small areas of rust has been cut out and replaced with sheet metal like inner wheel tubs front and rear. The leading edge of the hood has some rust. The doors do not sag.

It has newer shocks, master cylinder and booster, brake hoses, drums, shoes, calipers, and pads, high pressure PS hose, plug wires. It has a Holley 4bbl carb and dual exhaust. Contact me for more info or pictures. These are the only ones I took today. This is a very desireable year with the rare Explorer package...and it's still uncut!!! The interior is original and holding up well. I'm also planning on having the drivers lower seat section recovered, if it doesn't sell here first.
THANKS!

Ok you have peaked my interest... I wonder how much to ship to 95037?

I would appreciate looking at your additional pictures tomorrow..., I am at work so I will not get around to looking at them until the afternoon. My e-mail is available if you click on my name, I am sure you know the drill.

It has to have all/most of the smog equipment to make the smog Nazis happy here in CA. I still have some pieces left over from my 77 that I converted to EFI... legally. I will start preparing the wife, since that is the most difficult part of these transactions...

Doug

I guess I will ask why the floor shifter, instead of the column? Long day , and I am done for the evening.

I replied to your PM. I have some smog stuff I can throw in, I think a pump and bracket, maybe a hose or two also. Shipping should be about a grand. I just had a Mach one send here from LA for $1000.00. Call me tomorrow, my phone number is 615-948-7236. Chris

Chris, do you know if that Explorer badge was originally mounted off to the side like that? Most of them aren't that way, but the one for the '76 brochure is. Possibility that it's the brochure Bronco! :D

It's funny how Explorer's old Bronco has made it's way back to CB! :)

Honestly that's the first one I've seen mounted like that. I thought that maybe it was a 76 thing. Those are the only mounting holes in the door. Cool brochure!!!

Nope. Mine is in the normal spot, as well as all the other ones I've seen besides this one and the brochure. It's possible that someone used a different glove box door and mounted it differently or there may have been a few done that way. But then again, you could have the brochure model!

I need to find one of those brochures. I took that pic from someone's post in another thread.

Thanks pitbull. Jimmy, I'll take a picture of the inside of the glove box door with the vin and post it. I'll decode the DSO and see where it was built. I wonder where they Ford produced their literature in '76, and where did they get the Broncos from? Pretty cool.

My little Bronco is sure making it around the country. When it left me, it had only 84,000 original miles.
Unless it's been changed, it has the factory posi-track rearend.

I might keep the roll bar in it now, not sure. The steering wheel is a 66-75, but its better than the old Grant GT wheel that was in it when I got it. More pics coming soon.

I noticed that Wagoneer as well. Did you happen to see the Xtreme 4x4 episode a few years back where they changed the later model grill into the look of yours. Those older grill designs look way cooler!

Looking forward to more pics when you have a chance. Nice find.

Glove box door

Here's some pics of the glove box door. Another interesting thing is the trim tag is mounted 180 degrees from normal. The rivets are factory. Who knows.

Yea I was just wondering out loud on that wheel you know how ford was with letting somethings run over to another year model early in production...Just thought it might be one those deals.;)
