Introducing our new 2-1 DIY exhaust kit that will be available to the public 11-23-18
SHORTY HEADERS FOR THESE KITS HAD A 2-3 WEEK DELAY &

For years we have been selling a great DIY dual exhaust kit that performs very well and sounds great. Especially when you pair it with our industry leading long tube ceramic headers. Now also available with black heat temp paint. There's only one problem, these parts won't fit on everyone's Early Bronco. The moment you add an Atlas or 205 transfer case the dual exhaust kit we sell wont work. We also recommend the shorty headers for anyone running a 4R70W or an AOD transmission. Our long tubes just barely fit with those transmissions and in some cases it requires A LOT of extra effort to get the passenger side long tube in w/o damaging the paint or ceramic coating.
We now have a solution that covers those issues plus it works with several other drive train configurations, can be used with stock EB (non emission) exhaust manifolds or the very reasonably priced Drake shorty headers. If you are already running shorty headers we know our kit also works with JBA shorties. It has NOT been tested with any other shorties on the market. The details:
-2.25" aluminized steel head pipes and merge pipe
-2.5" mid pipe & tail pipe
-choice of muffler 2.5" C/C
-SS Magnaflow - nice resonant mellow deep sound
-Jones Full Boar - deep more aggressive tone. Comparable to a flowmaster 40
-Flowmaster Delta 44 - signature sound of the 40 series without the over powering drone or in cab resonating
-Cherry Bomb Pro -Deepest most aggressive tone of the 4 choices
-hardware kit and instructions which include info on how to properly install Drake headers.
-No welding required
The good:
-fits 289, 302, 5.0 & 351W engines
-currently tested and approved to work with these transmissions with shorties & stock EB manifolds

-works with Drake shorty headers offered in black painted, stainless & ceramic coated
-works with JBA shorty headers.
-can be used with all drivers drop transfer cases
-comes with in depth instructions with several pictures
-works with high pinion dana 44 Full Width or EB width
-will sell 2-1 exhaust kit without mufflers just like we offer for our dual exhaust kit. please call the office to request this.
-can ship the 2-1 exhaust kit and shorty headers in one box which makes shipping extremely affordable.
The bad
-2-1 kit does not work with long tube headers
-not compatible with P heads w/o modifications to some of the primary tubes
-if you have rear inboard shocks this kits tailpipe may make contact with your passenger side shock - it tested favorably on one setup but we haven't tested them all
-if you have a rear 4 link suspension system this kit will not fit w/o serious modifications.
-if you are running stock EB manifolds we have a kit for you but not in stainless till spring/summer of 2019
Shorty header important info:
-the shorty headers we offer with this kit are designed to work with 289, 302 and 5.0 engines
-they come with installation hardware and MLS header flange gaskets - no instructions from the manufacturer included
-not compatible with explorer P heads without extensive modifications
-requires mods to work with a 351W
----back 2 primaries on passenger side contact inner fender
----collector flange on passenger side sometimes requires some slight trimming before install unless you have aftermarket motor mounts that move your motor up .25 to .75 inches
Application and adaptation: available 11-23-18 (except stainless options)
Now that we offer a 2-1 exhaust kit with an optional shorty header we have a few new options available plus we are extending our accessory line up that compliments all our exhaust systems.
-stainless stage 8 locking header bolts
-stainless polished slip over tips (typically tack welded on but can be screwed on too)
-header & tube wrap
-spark plug boot insulators
-muffler heat shield
-optional weld on hardware kit for 2-1 and dual exhaust kits available 2019
-optional hardware upgrade to SS band clamps kit to eliminate saddle clamps available in 2019
-stainless tubing, muffler & hanger options available in 2019
- will be looking into a catalytic converter upgrade in 2019
-if you want to purchase the shorty headers we sell and want to run (or currently running) our DIY dual exhaust kit, we have made adapter head pipes for that kit. Part# 3069 Keep in mind shorty headers will ship in a separate box when purchased with our dual exhaust kit so there will be added shipping costs for that.
Prices on 2-1 DIY exhaust kits will range from $319 to $399 depending on muffler choice.
Shorty headers are $239 for black and $299 for stainless, Ceramic is $359 and ship at no additional charge when they are bought and shipped at the same time as the 2-1 exhaust kit.
