I finally made room for my new barn find project. Now it starts with pulling the motor to clean up the engine bay to make room for the fresh 351w.
I ordered some parts for it that should come in tomorrow and said that they were my birthday gifts to me being my BDay is tomorrow.
Can't wait to get it on the road.

Are you Matt's buddy ? If so thanks for passing it along.
Matt said he should have kept it for himself but that boy has plenty to keep him busy for a while.

And I'm sure it looked just as bad when I picked it up compared to when you saw it.

The motor will be coming out tomorrow. Is there any trimming I should do to make room for the 351w ? I know that the 351 is 1in wider and taller. I do plan on installing a 1in body lift.

What lift are you planning on running? I know you have a set of 15x6 slots. Just curious what size tires you are thinking?

At first I wanted to run stock size tire with only a 1in body lift but I'm really going to have a hard time not cutting it and going with at least a 2 1/2 in lift and a 1inch body lift to fit the 351w I had built. If I do I would like to go with 32x11.50 I think they would look pretty cool with my slots.

If your taking suggestions..........

I think one of the most awesome looks is 2-1/2 suspension with 1 inch body which can accept a 351 and 31" tires without cutting the fenders. Some have even stuffed 33" tires (skinny) in this combo if you roll the inside fender lip.

Love how fast you are getting after it.

Yea I have thought about going that way and if I don't like it uncut I could always cut it after the fact. I'm pretty sure I want to go 2 1/2 lift and for sure 1in body lift.

Do not cut it... Go 3.5" SL and 1" body with some 33x10.5

I know every time I think I want to cut it I see the clean quarters and solid front fenders and I change my mind. I'll probably get the lift and put the tub back on and see what it looks like when it's rolling again.

You can always cut it later. I'm running a 11" wide tire, it's all about backspacing. I wouldn't be surprised if my lubr gets cut someday:cry:
