I had ordered a new BC soft top and while back and Just two days ago I ordered new Corbeau XRS front buckets and a new rear Baja 40 bench seat for the bronco. This wasn't planned but they are both scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I'm praying I get out of my clinical rotation early so I can come home and start installing it all. Yes, I will have plenty of pics and feed back on the installation of everything.

I know I am jumping the gun on posting but this is the first major thing I have been able to do on the bronco since I bought it. I'm just a tad pumped up about it.

Now I need to get back to the hydro boost and front disk D44 install project. I've got just over 4 weeks of clinical rotations and I will be officially done with school.

See below for the updates on my order status of both items. Not happy!!!

Good luck with the install. I'm in the process of installing my BC top and I just got done installing seats with custom brackets.

Look forward to the top photo's...hopefully they will aid in my install when mine arrives. Here's to you getting out of your rotation early.

The top arrived but the seats did not arrive nor have they shipped. Turns out the front seat brackets won't be in stock until mid next week and the rear bracket won't be in stock for five to six weeks.

Needles to say I am not very happy that it took three days for me to learn the seat brackets and seats were not being shipped yet.

There's more to this confusion but I will keep my emotions in check and see if I get better details on the seat/bracket order tomorrow.

Aside from that bringing me down I plan on installing the top this weekend. Have to wait on the seats.

Most of the time I am an easy going guy and understand there are issues and problems that can arise. Right now I am beside myself with the ordering of the seats and the top. Not only have I not gotten a reply back today on the status of the rear seat bracket or if my seats will even ship out when only the front brackets come in. All I have been told is the seats are being held until the brackets come in. I will cancel the order if I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for a rear bracket. As mentioned above I did not find out my order was not shipping until 3 days after I had placed it.

To top all this off my soft top arrives with clear windows and I ordered tinted windows, my invoice even states this. I knew I had the wrong windows before I even opened the box because some one had written CLEAR on the out side of the box. Of course I just open the box to confirm this and now the vendor may be closed for the weekend. I'm sure they will take care of this. That's what I get for posting everything was on its way.

I have also tried contacting another vendor via email last night about seats and have not heard back from them either, all though they may have taken a long weekend off given its a holiday weekend.

When it rains it pours. I think I have lost my steam to start installing the top now.

As soon as I hit and posted my reply I got an email from the seat vendor stating they have not yet found a rear seat bracket. At least they replied back to me today even if all the other vendors are now closed.

I ordered a set of corbeau seats a while back and had problems also. They have alot of stuff on backorder due to sales increase. I just got mine and love then.

Sent from your moms bedroom using tapthat 2.

So I think I can help you out...

I remounted my seat and I am not going to use the factory bracket that came with mine... Please confirm bracket and part # listed below

I cannot have it there for this weekend but I can ship it next week.
I do not think it weighs alot but it is a little bulky...

I do not remember what I paid for it? $20.00 plus shipping from the west coast sound ok...

Doug

Good luck, and Hang in there....

904Bronco has given life to the project. He is a life saver having had the rear bracket. I may get part of the soft top installed this weekend yet with new life in the project now.

I'm cooling down now and reading the instructions on how to install the top. I just might get a few bolts fastened yet tonight.

I just need to get this tinted window issue taken care of next.

Sold! And I am happy to help out a Brother...

You have been a much bigger help than you know. What are the chances of some one posting an issue like mine and another member having the exact part you need sitting in there garage? This isn't a part every one has sitting around!!! I think I will play the lottery this weekend and if i win... ;D

Thanks again.

Happy to say the vendor I am buying the seats from took the time to reply late last night about refunding me the rear seat bracket and shipping cost for that bracket. Things are looking better.

I was just hoping to have the top and seats installed before the wife returns home next week. This won't happen now but at least things are looking much better than they did yesterday afternoon.

That is what makes this site what it is...

Glad to hear something is at least working out for you. Nothing worse than ordering something you think they have in stock only to find out otherwise. Almost seems deceitful when they do not state that the item you are purchasing is not in stock and may take time to get to you.

After seeing these threads over and over, my mental image is this:

Vendor receives order
Vendor walks back, gets a big box and starts grabbing parts to fill order.
Vendor discovers they have a many seats, no seat brackets.
Vendor puts what parts they have in a box and sends to you, orders more seat brackets for their empty hole in parts bins.
Vendor doesn't notify you of missing parts, because you would probably cancel the entire order.
Vendor sees another shitstorm starting on classicbroncos, starts to communicate.

This is probably wrong, but that's how it seems from this end.

Sadly it does seem to be the norm. I spoke on the phone and emailed both vendors before purchasing and I still had these issues.

To add to this whole mess I seem to be missing several pieces of mounting hardware for the soft top. I will be making a run to Home Depot some time today to buy the rest of the nuts and bolts I need.

The saga continues. Still waiting for a reply on the tinted window issue. I fear I may have to just ask for a refund on that or I may not have a choice hence the no reply back. They may not be able to provide the tinted window now, the web site says out of stock now. If I get a call back today I will get them a break down of the few pieces of mounting hardware I am missing and see if I can get that to finish the install. Not very happy right now.

Hopefully the seats will ship today. This vendor has at least been in communication with me and my rear bracket is being refunded.
