they're nice looking, but i can't afford the $300.00 price tag. i'm not saying they're not worth it, theyre's a lot of wirk that goes in to them. but my wallet can't handle it.

I think I was mis-understood...No shame here...I love the set-up and gladly paid the coin for the visors...exactly what I wanted. I posted the pics because someone else may have been looking for the same. I just threw in the tongue-n-cheek comment about the "could have bought________for that money" guys because it seems everytime someone talks "money paid" or "truck value", there are 10 guys to slam them.

Remember the long MysteryLights thread over his truck...people ran him over the coals for asking 35K on his truck...that got ugly.

i'm not slamming them, i think they're awesome looking. i also know there's a lot of work going into them making them worth the price. i just can't afford them. any time you buy something custom made like that, you're going to have to pay for it.

look at the lokar dipsticks. if you want a stock one, you can probably get one for $10.00, but their engine dipsticks are about $48.00 and we paid $97.00 for the C-4 pan fill dipstick. if you want the look, you're going to have to pay for it.

the bronco i'm restoring has in the neighborhood of $60,000.00 in it. i'll probably show him these when i go work on it thursday and he'll most likely want a set. i couldn't see that truck without a set of these at this point, they're trick looking!

My respose above wasn't directed at you 73 or anyone specifically, just it seemed some of the other responses seemed to think I regreted my purchase or was ashamed of the $. Not the case. My original post was just a play/funny on the general pattern that threads usually follow on the forum when $ is included. No harm no foul. By the way...that is one sweet ride you are building...and I love the blue. ;D

com on boys, play nice now.
we all have different budgets and tastes. no reason to dis on someone for doing what they want on their truck. it's their truck and their dollar. can't we all just have a group hug and enjoy the fact that we love these 30 year old trucks and are doing all we can to keep them alive. now let me flip that spiffy visor down, the glare is killing me... ;)
it's all good guys.
