Took the ole girl to pick up a Christmas tree. I haven't put my rack on the 70 yet so it was cool to see it on there.

Sweet! Taking the Bronco out in the forest to get a Christmas tree was a family tradition when I was growing up. Great memories of those days!

Todd Z.
I have been living alone for the past 20 years and have not once gone to get a tree since moving out of my parents. We had the tradition growing up to drive up to western NC to a choose and cut farm. This year my girlfriend and I decided to restart that tradition for ourselves. We got lucky with a little snow shower while we were there too. When I was a kid we walked out into the farm and cut our own, nowadays they won't let you do that and they have guys running around on gators cutting and hauling the trees for you.

I am so thrilled with this rig. One of the best purchases I've made and I certainly appreciate you letting it go when I had a chance to snag it.
How do you get the photos so big in your post?

Im not real sure. I size them before posting to be 15inches on the long side. These files start out tremendously large with the camera I shoot on. I am posting at the maximum allowed file size for sure.

I like the grill & (if one must have 'em) same color flairs in back. I was a builder for many yrs and always paid spec attention to the entries (dolled them up for ‘presentation’, pride’n sales). I think of these rest0mods the same. This one’s got that attention. Came by cuz I saw the sam yr rig as mine. Every one is different and I’d think my rig had too many colors. Looking at page 1’n 5 only may B ‘gold' the top’n hood or chrome the rack & gold the hood... or ... I imagine you want a kinda oe rep so have not gone toward full-on customization. That’s a “ gud ‘un ! ” to me. When I got my current (’82) I was set in that direction (not concourse correct). After going thru 3 or 4 in the early 80s to get in that direction I sold each to fund/have parts for this ’70. It is slowly turning into an homage to the early 'second owner' rigs (cactus smasher, KC HiLiTES, external visor, more). No money, just a few days a wk ina garage working for another, he never has space for me to bring it in, I’ve spent alot of time NOT working onit & tradin him break jobs, exhausts, tool maintanence/organizing, etc/garage rat for his customers (his income for my barter. I’m nota engine builder, welder, etc).

It's nice to see a survivor. Even nicer for some 1 to bring it here to show us. We need every 1 of these we can get to document the oe for guys restoring. I’m gunna congratulate you (late to the party here) for buildin the 'knowledge base' for these great rigs. Will try’n get to the 3 middle pages w/more spare time, (wanna C interior) ~

@green61bug pardon my interruption but it might help @trailerjack with future posts.

If you upload the pics directly to the site, contributor status is required, you have the option to insert photos directly in the post and they will post as large as the scaling allowed by your browser. Here's an example of what it looks like while you are writing the post, this has a couple of ways to accomplish inserting the photos and you can choose were to place them so your text is where you want it regarding the pic. Play with it and see what you think :)
