I'm about halfway through my Chevy disc conversion and had a few questions.

Probably dumb questions, but I'm learning.

From the picture I attached it appears that there should be a bearing race installed with each bearing (inner and outer). Do I reuse the stock bearing race or do I use the sleeve that came in the Timken bearing box. I don't think I use the timken sleeve as it's tapered on one side and square on the other and appears just for shipping.

Also does anything go between the outer wheel bearing and the first hub nut? I'm back of the stock hub it appeared to be a sleeve of some sort. I will be upgrading to Warn premium hubs if that makes a difference.

Someone set me straight please, thanks

If the sleeve that come with your bearings doesnt appear to be a race then I'd say its not needed. But yes races are installed in the hub you can reuse if they are in good condition or since you have new bearings it may be a good idea to install new races.
Theres a spring retainer that kinda goes between the outer bearing and spindle nut but it doesnt get installed until after the spindle nuts are in. Some people dont even reinstall it. I dont believe the warn hubs come with that part either.

The races are tapered to match the pitch on the bearings. If it is a steel sleeve chances are it is not just for shipping.

That spring is part of the old locking hubs and is not needed with the Warn hubs.

Thanks guys exactly what I needed. The races were already installed in the hubs (I bought a kit from JBG).

Also, the spring part was the second piece I was referring too. Really appreciate the help!
