Northeast Classic Ford Parts - Wiring Harness

Haven't been on in a bit and not sure if this has been covered but couldn't find in a search. Got wind last week that Nick has developed his own Bronco wiring harness that would be available soon. I happened to be driving through Delaware on the way to a work meeting yesterday and gave him a call, the harness is ready and available. His harness comes fully loomed and wires labeled and has connectors installed for all the standard switches, etc. Seems like a really nice harness that will be much less time consuming than others to install. Driving back through today I swung by the shop and picked one up. Only looked at it in the box so obviously haven't installed, but I'll look it over tomorrow and can post some pics if anyone is interested.

Anyone interested in an unused Painless harness?

So, boxed, unboxed, and laid out a bit. No need to get all exotic yet. Definitely looking forward to your comments on it as the install progresses.

Is it laid out like a stock harness? Or is it a modern upgrade? Ford wiring colors, or GM?

I can’t answer wether the wires are ford or Chevy color, don’t know the difference

Now that I'm mostly done, NOW you tell us there is a new and better option!

I've been spending the past couple weeks tediously wiring my '69 using a new un-used Ron Francis kit I picked up third-hand. (The guy I bought it from got it included with a stalled Bronco project he bought and parted out.) The Francis kit is good stuff, bit it is not plug-n-play. Requires a lot of thought to route, and lots of fussing to terminate all the over-length wiring. I suspect that is also the case with the Painless, American Autowire, etc.

Exactly. Just from what I can see in the pics, it looks like a much easier install, with a lot less custom work. It looks like the custom pre-built harnesses I've used on other (non-Ford) projects in the past. Should be a nice option for anyone who doesn't need to build something full-on custom, or who is less comfortable working with electrics.

Seems to be a hybrid of GM/Ford wiring colors. Mostly GM, but some components are just like early Ford like would be found on a Bronco. Such as Brown for heater power, Black for ACC.
Oddly, GM with Red coming into the ignition connector, but Ford Yellow going from the connector to the switch!
Built around the '71 and later Bronco harness, without the rectangular firewall plugs, but with bundles and grommets for passing through the firewall.
Perhaps they're filling in the gap left by Centech when they recently pulled the Bronco harness off the market.
