Hey thanks- I had a great time.
 Your box pulled away from the frame!? I did not notice what set up you have. I did not think that we did anything that could cause that type of damage. Could you put a few pics of that up too?

Yeah, I think it must have been starting to pull away before we hit the trail, and it just got much worse while we were on the trail. I had noticed that the steering seemed like it was starting to get a little bit of play in it before, but nothing like it was after running the trail.

I presure washed most of the gunk off of the frame this afternoon, and then got a closer look at it. It looks like it was welded before by one of the previous owners, but they didn't add any reinforcement.

Here are some pics from inside the frame and from directly below the box. You can see where the lower bolt closest to the cross member has pulled through on the inside of the frame, and in the pic directly below the box you can see where the frame has split on the outside lower seam.

cbearly, do you weld? If not I'd be happy to weld that up and sleeve it for ya, I'm on WCR 72 so not far from ya.

Thanks for the offer. Yeah, I weld a little (at least I try ;D ). I've got an older Hobart mig welder, and a Lincoln stick welder. Since the frame isn't that thick, I think I'll use the mig on it. I bought some 1/4 inch plate on Monday to make the sleeve with. Hopefully I can get to it this weekend.

Where are you at on WCR 72? I'd love to check out your Bronco sometime and see how you set up the Dana 60's on it. I've got a pair of 60's I'm planning on putting under my 70 Bronco once I get my 72 fixed up.

Those are some great pics! Damn I wish I could have gone with you guys. I still have to setup the front gears before I can get back on the trails and I've never done that before. Isn't that the way it goes sometimes? I can't even make the Moab Safari because exams are going that week and the next. Oh well, at least a teachers schedule gives me all summer to sort it out and wheel!
