Does anyone have a NP-435 like the one pictured laying around that can be measured. I am trying to figure if it will go behind 292 yblock ford. Some, like the one pictured have extra undrilled ears, I dont know how common these are but I would need to drill a hole 4-11/16 below the upper left hole (drivers side) and 2-13/16 below upper right hole. or (pass side)

I have one in my shed. I was having a helluva time holding the tape and the phone so I hope these work for you. It looks like you are in the right ballpark. Those ears have quite a bit of room behind them as well.
Edit: Looks like I moved a bit with the tape on the drivers side, the 2" mark was supposed to be even with the bottom of the hole. The passenger side the 4" mark looks to be even with the bottom of the hole.
Let me know if you need any more measurements.

On another note, I have 2 np435's that both came out of 4x4 F150's. One I think was a 76 and the other for sure was a 78. Both have the same ears as the one you have pictured. Might be worthless info but here it is anyways. Ha!
