Well my first time to the event certainly got me hooked. My little stock bronco broke, but got to go on some good runs and met some seriously good people. I will certainly be back next year with a better set up rig. I scored some parts that I didn't realize I needed at a steal of a price (thanks Thom), and will start tearing into the old girl soon for some much needed upgrades. Thanks to everyone that was so nice and accommodating. I'll definitely be seeing y'all next year.

Yea, my little stocker didn't fare so well either. Got a long list of things to check out, fix, redo before trying to drive uphill again

Thought my wife got video of your entire climb out but I guess not. Here's the first attempt and then the end of when you made it out on a different line. :)

Oh I'm definitely hooked. And thanks okie for the video. I couldn't remember who it was that said they got it. Next year I'm gonna be a lot more involved with the trails rides. The plan is to catch the prerun and make sure I have things lined out. First thing that's getting upgraded is the fuel system. The 600 holley that's on it is going by the wayside. Hopefully I'll have the EFI on it by then, but if not I'll at least have a 2100 or possibly a 4100 to get me by.

You can tell in the vid what my problem was. I still haven't taken the time to figure out why the front won't pull, but all of that will get lined out as I tear into it to upgrade.

Check out FITECH EFI, I ran it this time, after getting an issue ironed out with a roll over check valve sticking closed, it was well worth the money. Around $900.00. Hope to see you next year!!

I've got a complete explorer setup, just have to build the harness and get the ecm flashed. Have a P motor, with acc, harness and computer. I've been following the teaching of EFIGuy, so I'm hoping that it will all line up soon. The plan is to clean up the motor I have, or possibly pick up another (97 pre-p) in a rollover because it has a 4R70. But finances will dictate, due to the cost of adapters and such. I have a lot of work to do at this point..........

Either way, I'll be there next year, with a more capable rig, barring any major catastrophes..........

And I'll check into the FITTech system. May be worth a look anyway.

And it begins...........

One ton TRE kit, and made a deal to swap this open diff stock front end for a Detroit locked 4.88 geared front and matching 9" gears (thanks Dave). Finally got my shift changed at work so I'll have time off to build. The fun is about to start. :)

I just did that TRE/TRO swap right before OCBR. Last week was my test run. You'll love it! Be sure to use cutting oil with the reamer.

And now I own a motorcraft 4100. It's a 600cfm, but maybe I can work with that. Should work ok on a "P" motor. Oughta get me by until I can get all of the EFI stuff lined out for install.
