Well, read every manual I have and not one tells me what diameter the OE exhaust is for the single pipe V-8 exhaust. Anyone know or can point me to the correct site for the information. Also does anyone have a source for the factory Y pipe for the v-8 exhaust.

Thanks Bill, know anyway I can get a stock Y pipe?
I would settle for a image of one and how they install.

I would consider stepping up to 2 1/8 or 2 1/4" pipe. You should see gains in power and mileage. Dont have a good source for you might try a junk yard and look for a early 70's ford van I'm almost positive they used the same exhaust manifolds if not the Y will be close

Pics may not be up tonight, sorry. I forgot to get a new card reader on the way home as mine has crapped out. I'll try to call the wife and get her to stop by walmart though, it will be very late:p SB

Cool, thanks for the pics. Is that a stock muffler? Can an exhaust shop fab up a y pipe pretty easily?

AFAIK, its a factory muffler and exhaust. When I bought this one a year ago, everything on it was still original except tires. They are the second set as told by original owner. SB

Sure, that would be great ztoolman44! Maybe between the two Broncos we can figure out what the pipes are supposed to look like.
