Trying to figure out how to mount a factory sway bar on my 76 from a pile of parts.

Which way do the ends turn when mounted--kick up or down--where they terminate at the radius arms?

The ends turn up. I think it will only go on and line up one way.

Here is a video with a good walk around of it.

Thanks for asking/posting guys. I'm looking to add one to my wife's 68. I'll update as to whether it will go on a dana 30 easy or not!

You need to know there is more to installing the '76-'77 front sway bar than just buying one. The radius arms are different for '76,'77s then other years. They have square holes for carriage bolts that locate the rear sway bar brackets. Secondly the bracket that mounts the right center bushing is welded to all the '76,'77 axles. Whether they had the optional sway bar or not. Unless you get one off one of those axles you would have to fabricate the right hand bracket.

Got it mounted, thanks. Once I held it up, it was obvious how it mounted.

I hope I'm not getting in over my head, but I was hoping to drill a hole in the radius arms, and weld the bracket you mentioned on to the dana 30. The original will be cut off by the guy I'm buying it from. Larry at Used and Abused. I have had great luck dealing with him.

I'm counting on some fab work because so far nothing has gone as planned, and it has become the norm for me put together/take apart work several times! All good though. I enjoy it for sure.
