I was digging thru some stuff this morning and found this intake. It was on my Bronco when I bought it. Does anyone know about these? I have a Stealth on mine now and am happy with it and don't plan on changing. I was wondering what advantage split runners gives you?

If I remember there ads the ports are divided and separate primary and secondary sides of the carb which in turm may result in longer intake runners that would promote torque output. Overall it might have helped intake volecity and provide some torque gain but probably not all that much if any over a regular performance manifold as I dont recall any other manufacturer doing this.

It looks like it's for a 302. I have one of those for my 351w. I've just been to busy to get it on there. It has the stud holes for the q-jet. We dremelled out the secondary holes to fit it. I just need to get it on and test it.

The primaries feed the lower ports. Small in diameter so the velocity stays high. On the bottom of the intake so the valley heat keeps the fuel vaporized. Good for drivability. then when you get on it and open the secondaries the extra flow goes through the upper ports, which should be a touch cooler.

Great idea, never heard any problems with it. I had one at one time back when I had a carb. But I had carb problems and at one point swapped it out for a ported Performer. then I got the carb replaced with a good one (after several bad used ones) and never got the intake back on. then I lost the intake somewhere.
