Oil blowing out filter. Need help.

Oil is blowing out my oil filter gasket. I changed the head gaskets to see if something blew and made an obstruction in the oil galleys but everything was ok when I dissassembled it. Now with new head gaskets, still doing it. What could be causing this problem?? Some people say the oil pump is fubar, but the filter is being pumped full of oil, so it should be working.

Change your oil filter, they come with a new gasket. Remember to screw it on 3/4 to a full turn after the filter first contacts the block.

Second is to check the oil pressure sending unit extension, right next to the filter. It could cause some confusion if that is leaking.

If you are worried about blowing out gaskets, tell us what your oil pressure is. Can't tell you the oil pump is bad if we don't even know what kind of pressure it is putting out

Wrong filter, or you may have two filter gaskets on top of one another.

need to know oil pressure at 3000 rpms...Sounds like the pressure relief is stuck in the pump. I've seen it happen on a dodge. Change the pump if you have over 70 psi.

My bet is 2 stacked gaskets too. That happened to me once. The old gasket stuck to the block and I didn't realize it untill 3 quarts of oil coverd the driveway.
