Old seats worth keeping?

I still have my original seats taking up valuable shop space, they are worn out and need to be refurbished to be of any use. Should i just toss them or are there any parts worth stripping first?

Wish you were closer. I'm looking for some stock seats. Shipping would kill me though.

I sold my front buckets and in ways I wish I had kept them, but nothing on my rig is original anymore so I don't think it really mattered. They were in decent shape but somebody along the line put some funky upholstery on them which I didn't like. At the time, cash sounded better than old seats that I didn't really like.

If you have the room to keep them (which I don't really), keep them. Otherwise, advertise them with a slightly high price and somebody will want them.

Post them on here under Free stuff. Someone will gladly pay shipping. But don.t just toss them. Plus how long do you want to store something to make $25.00. Just my .02 sorry.

I am about to pay $40 for a set of stock seats for my '67 Mustang that need to be re-upholstered. For the most part a set of stock seats will sell for less than $100 no matter what condition they are in. To me they would be worth the hassle of selling and shipping, but not worth holding onto to see if the price increases in the coming years.

Mine were thrashed too, but I held them for awhile until one day I took all the parts I could get off them and tossed the rest. I was so glad to get them out of the garage. I still have all those parts in a box for some reason. %) I would try to sell them and if they don't go soon, remove what you can and toss them.

I don't really see going back to them but the pack-rat in me hates to get rid of them. One of the PO raped my rig of all the Stroppe parts so i am hesitant to get rid of anything I'll probably throw them in the classifieds and help another brother out.
