Old wiring in windshield GRRR

Trying to pull some new wires thru windshield

For the life of me I can not get the old wiring to let go. Just stuck in there! May sound basic but
Ya got any tips??

Went around them. Fortunately enough room to get past. I was about to stroke out!

Mine had some mud dauber nest and some old seam sealer holding it tight. I finally got it to come loose but it was a pain!
